About Us
Who are we?
We are a fledgling organization and still in the process of determining our board, officers and members. There will be more updates as we formalize an official nonprofit organization and entities. Given the scale of current operations, we are still working as a crowdsourcing fundraising operation with full disclosure that we do not have US 501C3 or Australian ACNC designation.
February 2024 UPDATE: We are no longer accepting donations, and will wind down operations. Two members are now focused on other (nonprofit) organisations, and one of those has moved cities.

How does it work?
Step 1
We find discounted housing
We look for like-minded landlords who are willing to accept sub-market rent in order to support the housing of our target groups ("sub-market" roughly defined as 15% or more below market rent). We currently have about 8 homes that are potential inventory.
Step 2
Find funding
With a community of donors, like yourself and our founders and members, we seek to fund as much of the rent as possible. Our first home was funded in October 2019.
Step 3
We find people in need of housing
For example, in the case of our first placement, Refugee Services Texas was looking to place new refugee families in homes, and we contacted that service organization to offer our inventory of discounted or free housing. Our first family is a family of six refugees from Afghanistan.
